I can't believe I'm starting the wedding season in the middle of winter with temperatures of 74 degrees outside! As a true Midwestern girl, I was all geared up for a typical Chicagoland wedding, with a warm winter coat, plenty of hand warmers to pass around, and a positive attitude needed for those frigid outdoor bride and groom portraits. But this wedding was not in Chicago. I'm thrilled to share my first out-of-state destination wedding just outside Memphis, Tennessee!

While there were so many memorable moments during Lyndsey and Colin's wedding day I want to share my three favorites with you

#3 | The Bridal Suite:

This one may seem a bit weird for it to have made the list, but I did a little online research before the wedding and learned that The Crossing At Kerrville recently added a bridal suite right down the road. Guys - it's GORGEOUS! Clean, white, and simple with lots of light! A photographer's dream! If you've ever come along with me to weddings where the getting ready room is bright with neutral colors, you know how excited I get! I just love the final images we got of Lyndsay getting ready with her girls.

#2 | The Weather:

This is the second time I'm mentioning it so you know it was awesome!! When you've been used to the cold for the past few months, sweating while shooting a wedding OUTSIDE in the beginning of FEBRUARY was wild! Apparently, Memphis had some Chicago-like weather a few weeks earlier, but you'd never know it on Saturday. What a blessing!

#1 | Sweet Family & Friends:

Lyndsey is actually my husband Jordan's sister's best friend! (Can you follow that?) In fact, Jordan's Mom, sister, and bonus dad live in Memphis. It's also where Jordan grew up, so we travel there often. Well... a little less often these days with three kiddos. I was so honored when Lyndsey contacted me about her wedding, and I couldn't wait to help her out! I just knew we were going to have a BLAST!!

Lyndsey and Colin, I cannot thank you enough! I had so much fun hanging out with you two all day and getting to know your friends and family. I couldn't be happier for you two to start this new season in life together. Now get comfy as you scroll through some of my favorite images from your big day. Your sneak peek is LIVE!!

Lyndsey & Colin, THANK YOU for choosing me as your wedding photographer!!! I am so honored and I realize you could have chosen anyone!! I hope you can relax and enjoy this newlywed season together! You deserve it!!!
