Lindsey told me before their engagement session that she and Max weren’t really “picture people.” Well, I have some photos I’d like to show them!
These two looked SO beautiful together, and I loved having an evening to get to know them at Blackwell Forest Preserve. So much of planning a session happens over email, but getting to spend time together is my favorite part. And with Lindsey and Max, that included a hike up Blackwell’s giant “mountain”! They were up for anything, and we had such a good time exploring together.
Choosing a forest preserve for their photos felt especially fitting. Their first date was at Morton Arboretum, and Max proposed in a field of goldenrod—with a curious deer stopping by to witness it! Being outside together is already part of their story, so I loved that their engagement photos could reflect that, too.
Blackwell gave us the most beautiful fall backdrop. The color was GORGEOUS, and one of my favorite spots turned out to be right in the parking lot! I spotted tall grasses with autumn color behind them, and once Lindsey and Max stepped in, it looked like they were standing in a field. You would never know, and I get a little extra excited about photos like that!
But as much as I loved the setting, Lindsey and Max are what made this session so wonderful. They were fun to spend time with and willing to trust my ideas, and I left looking forward to getting these images onto my computer. Now that I’ve finished their sneak peek, I’m even more excited to share them!
Lindsey and Max, thank you for trusting me and spending such a beautiful evening with me! I loved getting to know you both, and I hope you see what I see in these photos: how beautiful you are together. Photographing you two was such a joy! Now grab a blanket and snuggle up—your sneak peek is live!
Thank you again for letting me be a small part of your story. I’m so excited for all that’s ahead for you both!
Thanks for reading,
