I’m so excited to share the Greeno Family’s extended family sneak peek with you today!
I first met Terri through our kids’ school community, so getting to photograph her family felt extra meaningful from the start. This session was such a sweet one because everyone was gathered together at Terri’s home for a family reunion, and we were able to document so many combinations of the people they love most — grandparents, siblings, cousins, and all the beautiful in-between moments that happen when a whole family is finally in one place.
And because July in Illinois likes to keep things interesting, the sky opened up toward the end of their session and it absolutely poured. Not a light sprinkle. Not a “maybe we can keep going” kind of rain. A full-on summer downpour! We squeezed in as much as we could before the storm rolled through, and then I came back on Monday morning before everyone headed home so we could finish what we started.
Honestly, I love that this session has a little story behind it. It feels like such a true reflection of family life — a little chaotic, a little unpredictable, and still completely worth documenting.
Greeno family, thank you so much for welcoming me into your home and trusting me to photograph this season for your family. I loved getting to spend time with all of you, and I’m so glad we were able to make these photos happen, rainstorm and all. Snuggle up, Greeno family — your sneak peek is below!
Thank you again, Greeno family! I loved getting to photograph your family reunion and document this time together for you all. I can't wait to share your full gallery soon.
Thanks for reading,
