EVENT HOST│ Moms Not Forgotten
Every year, the Moms Not Forgotten Mother’s Day Tea is beautiful. The tables are thoughtfully designed, the florals are stunning, the hats are adorable, and the room is full of women dressed in their Sunday best.
But the reason this event matters goes so much deeper than the pretty details.
Moms Not Forgotten exists to honor birth mothers — women who have made the incredibly brave and sacrificial decision to place their children for adoption. Their mission is to remind birth moms that they are loved, cherished, seen, and not forgotten.
And that is exactly what this afternoon felt like.
This year’s theme, Legacy & Lace, was such a meaningful reflection of the heart behind the day. Providence Vineyard was filled with soft pastel florals, pink tablecloths layered with lace, gold frames, glowing candles, pearl accents, vintage-inspired details, and women wearing the sweetest hats. It felt feminine and nostalgic in the best way — almost like walking into a room inspired by your grandmother’s house, filled with beauty, history, softness, and story.
The pearls were especially meaningful this year. They were woven into the table details and carried a deeper reminder of legacy, beauty, and value. Every place setting, every floral arrangement, every piece of lace, and every thoughtful little detail helped tell the bigger story of the day: that these women matter, their stories matter, and their motherhood is not forgotten.
Mother’s Day can be tender for so many reasons. For birth mothers, it can hold love, grief, sacrifice, hope, courage, and longing all at once. This tea created space for those stories to be honored with dignity and care.
That is what made the room so powerful.
Yes, the florals were outstanding. Yes, the tables were beautiful. Yes, everyone looked so lovely in their hats and dresses. But the beauty of the day was never just for the sake of beauty. It was a way of saying, “You are worth celebrating. You are worth remembering. You are loved.”
Jennifer Mueller and the Moms Not Forgotten team created such a thoughtful afternoon for the women in attendance. From the tea service and meaningful messages to the birth-mom story shared by Shantell Krabill, every part of the event pointed back to the heart of the ministry.
As a photographer, I loved capturing the lace, the pearls, the florals, the candles, and all of the gorgeous details that brought the Legacy & Lace theme to life. But even more than that, I loved documenting the connection in the room — the hugs, the conversations, the emotion, the laughter, the quiet moments, and the women being reminded that they are not alone.
Jen, Kristy, Margo, Katie, Shantell and the entire Moms Not Forgotten team, thank you for trusting me to photograph this beautiful day again. It is such an honor to preserve the heart behind this event and the mission behind this ministry.
To every birth mom who attended, I hope these images remind you of what this day was created to say so clearly:
You are loved.
You are cherished.
You are seen.
You are not forgotten.
Now grab a cup of tea, settle in for a moment, and enjoy a glimpse into this beautiful Legacy & Lace Mother’s Day Tea at Providence Vineyard.
