I had the incredible honor of capturing Krystian and Michelle's surprise proposal at Cantigny Park on November 17th, and I’m so excited to share their story and some of my favorite moments from the day!
Krystian reached out to me at the end of October, asking if I could photograph a surprise proposal. After checking our schedules, we decided that November 17th was the perfect date. I helped Krystian pick out a location, and we landed on The Keyhole Garden at Cantigny Park. It's a hidden gem—a semi-private spot with gorgeous scenery, making it ideal for this intimate moment.
On the big day, I arrived early and messaged Krystian to let him know I was there. He said he and Michelle would be walking around a bit before heading to the garden, so I found a good hiding spot in the bushes (which, let me tell you, felt like the longest wait ever!). As soon as Krystian got down on one knee, I stepped out and caught the magic moment on camera—Michelle said YES! It was truly a perfect proposal, and I was so happy to capture it for them.
Afterward, I introduced myself to the newly engaged couple and congratulated them on their big news! We took a stroll around Cantigny and snapped a few beautiful “Just Engaged” shots with the fall colors in full swing. It was the perfect way to celebrate their love and this exciting new chapter in their lives.
Krystian and Michelle, thank you for letting me be a part of such a special moment in your lives! It was truly an honor to witness your proposal and capture all the excitement and love of that day. I’m so happy for you both! Now, snuggle up and enjoy - your sneak peek is live!
Krystian and Michelle—thank you so much for inviting me to be part of such a special moment in your story. Capturing your love and joy was an absolute honor, and it’s one of those days I’ll never forget. Your connection is so beautiful, and I feel so lucky to have been there to document the start of this exciting chapter. Wishing you both all the happiness as you plan your future together!
