The last time I walked into Ariel and Ethan’s home with my camera, Ariel was getting ready for their wedding day. Last Thursday, I walked through that same front door to photograph them as Mom and Dad with their brand-new baby boy. It felt a little surreal to be back in their home for such a different season of their lives!


Sweet Bodie James arrived on August 23rd, and he was just 11 days old for his newborn session. He was an absolute angel the entire time and made my job way too easy! Every part of this session was beautiful to photograph because every part of it felt like them.


We spent the morning moving slowly, letting Ariel and Ethan snuggle their baby boy and taking breaks whenever Bodie needed them. Nothing felt forced or rushed. It was simply the three of them together in their home, soaking in these first days as a family.


Watching Ariel and Ethan with Bodie made me so incredibly happy for them. He is already so loved, and seeing the two of them settle so naturally into being Mom and Dad was the sweetest.


Ariel and Ethan, thank you so much for welcoming me back into your home and trusting me to photograph this beautiful new season for your family. I loved every minute with the three of you! Now, snuggle up because your sneak peek is LIVE!!
