Of all the events Dunham Woods Riding Club hosts, Goat Yoga was not one I expected... but I absolutely LOVED it!

I have spoken numerous times about the charming sophistication Dunham Woods offers its members and guests. The property and hosts are so warm and inviting, I could see how a yoga class in the Gray Room would invigorate your soul! But with GOATS?!?! This past Sunday, that's EXACTLY what I was invited to document. GOAT YOGA at Dunham Woods Riding Club.

I arrived early to set up and get situated before the stars of the show arrived at DWRC. I could feel the excitement all around me as everyone waited for the goats or as Michele from Nature's Trail Yoga calls them, "Assistant Yoga Instructors" to come. As soon as they arrived, Michele brought the goats to the Gray Room so everyone could get acquainted with their surroundings before the party joined in and class began.

As guests entered the room, they grabbed a yoga mat provided by Nature's Trail Yoga, found a spot on the floor, and were kindly greeted by Michele's goat friends. The goats were so sweet and affectionate, I almost forgot they were goats! It was like there was a bunch of dogs walking around, checking on the guests! A few of them were so comfortable, they took a nap right on the mats as the guests were positioning themselves in the next yoga pose! This was such a uniquely fun event! I am so grateful to have been included to capture it all!!
