There is just something so special about being invited into a family’s home during those first days with a brand new baby. It’s never about perfect conditions or a perfectly styled house or even perfect light. It’s about the feeling. The way everyone gathers a little closer. The way home feels extra tender in a season like this. The way a brand new baby changes everything while somehow fitting in perfectly from the very beginning.
Lifestyle newborn sessions will always have such a special place in my heart because they tell the story exactly as it is. Real life. Real love. Real connection. And this sweet morning with the Janke family was such a beautiful reminder that even on the darkest, gloomiest day, light still finds its way in. You would never know by looking at these images that the morning was so gray and rainy, because this session feels full of warmth.
Tricia and Rob just welcomed their newest little love, baby Camden, and he is absolutely beautiful. So peaceful, so snuggly, and already so very loved. Watching this family together with him was so sweet, and one of my favorite parts of the whole session was seeing Corrine step into her role as big sister. She was gentle, proud, loving, and already seems so smitten with her baby brother. It was the kind of sweetness you don’t have to force at all. It was just there.
