My favorite two-year-old boy turned two over winter though we decided to wait until the weather was more favorable for his milestone photoshoot. Yesterday was perfect. Not too cold, not too windy, an ideal amount of sunshine - and my son was home from school which meant we could take our time and not rush. Perfect!
Here's what you missed behind the scenes. Jack and Ellie were engaged on an adventure across the "wide ocean!" While I was busy posing CJ and capturing his silly smiles and adorable dimples, the other two pretended to be Maui and Moana (from Disney's Moana). They were in search of Maui's fishhook (a stick) so that they may continue on their quest to restore the heart of Te Fiti. (I'm sure if Jack and Ellie were reading this, they would correct me, but I think I got that right.) I love their imaginations, and so did the passers-by on our hike. :) As it turns out, CJ found best the "fishhook," though it looked more like a magic wand to me.
I've known and loved CJ since he was a twinkle in his parents' eyes - before he was born. I've had the honor of taking the photos his parents used for their pregnancy announcement, photographing his gender reveal party, capturing his newborn portraits, first-year portraits, and everything in between. It means so much to me that I am there for all of this sweet boy's special memories and best yet, that I can continue to capture these moments to last a lifetime. I am so lucky I get to be CJ's "Aunt Mommy" and that my kids have made best friends with the most kind-hearted and gentle young man I know. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do!
XOXO,
Cassie
