A Glowy Cantigny Maternity Session in Wheaton, Illinois | Justin & Reilly

I met up with Justin and Reilly at Cantigny for their maternity session, and it was one of those evenings that made it really easy to love my job.

These two have had such a sweet year already, and I have been lucky enough to photograph a few pieces of it along the way. Earlier this year, we photographed their pregnancy announcement session at Sands Main Street Prairie in Cary after their original session plans shifted in the best possible way. And now, here they are just a few months later, getting so close to meeting their baby girl.

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of maternity sessions. There is something so sweet about this little window of time before everything changes. The waiting, the wondering, the tiny clothes at home, the excitement that feels more real every week — it all goes so quickly, but it matters so much.

Cantigny was such a beautiful spot for this season. The gardens were full and summery, the evening felt calm, and the light was soft in that way you always hope for. Reilly looked absolutely beautiful, and Justin was so sweet with her the whole night. These two are easy together, and I love that their photos feel relaxed, joyful, and true to them.

This session also kicks off their Bump to Baby experience, so I get to see them again once their little girl is here. I already cannot wait. There is something so special about photographing maternity photos and then being welcomed back into those brand-new newborn days. It is the sweetest before and after.
