Bethany and William started their marriage surrounded by their favorite people, celebrated over brunch, and rode off in a classic Chevelle SS before meeting us at Cantigny Park for portraits. Such a fun way to spend a Sunday!
Their faith was at the heart of the day, and I loved getting to capture how excited they were to become husband and wife. There were thoughtful gifts, a little surprise that took longer than expected to discover, and so many sweet moments together along the way.
Before the ceremony, William gave Bethany a necklace, and Bethany gave him a voice recorder. But the recorder was only part of her gift—she had recorded herself singing on it! William was excited to receive it and had NO idea she had put anything on there. It wasn’t until later in the day, when Bethany asked him about it, that she found out he hadn’t heard the songs. LOL! He was already happy with his gift, and he hadn’t even discovered the most personal part yet!
I have so many favorites to share, but here are my top three from their day!
#3. A Wedding Celebration with Waffles!
Can we talk about wedding brunch for a minute?! After their morning ceremony, Bethany and William joined their guests for a breakfast buffet at the Red Oak Room at Cantigny Golf. Breakfast is always a hit, and I loved that it was part of their celebration!
We had planned their bride and groom portraits for after the reception, so they could spend more time enjoying brunch and visiting with the people who came to celebrate them. And when it was time to say goodbye, they had quite the getaway waiting outside!
#2. The Chevelle Send-Off!
Their guests gathered with fairy wands to send Bethany and William off to a classic Chevelle SS! These two climbed into the back seat and peeled away as their family and friends waved them goodbye. SO fun!!
I loved photographing this exit! And while their guests were heading home, we were heading to Cantigny Park for one more part of the celebration—portraits of the newlyweds!
#1. Exploring Cantigny as Husband and Wife!
This was the perfect way to end the day! With the ceremony and reception behind them, Bethany and William could relax and enjoy being together while we wandered through the park.
There was no reception to hurry back to and no need to miss time with their guests. We could simply enjoy taking their photos! Cantigny is already one of my favorite places for portraits, and getting to explore it with these two after such a sweet celebration made our time there even more fun. I’m so glad we saved this part for last, and I’ve been so excited to share these images!
Bethany and William, THANK YOU for inviting me to celebrate with you! I loved capturing your excitement, the thoughtful ways you celebrated each other, and the faith you brought into the start of your marriage. It was such a joy to spend this day with you and your favorite people, and I hope you love reliving it through these first photographs! Now, grab a blanket and snuggle up—your sneak peek is live!
