As early as I can remember, serving others in my family has always been a way of life.

My family and I volunteered in soup kitchens in downtown Chicago, hosted Thanksgiving dinners for hundreds of the less fortunate in Lake County, IL, and even opened our home to active military men and women from Great Lakes Naval Base that couldn't make it home for the holidays. Being a light for those that need it most brings me joy in a way I cannot explain. I hope to encourage the same compassion in Jack and Ellie and leading by example is the best way I know how.

Since joining our church and "the Chapel family," my husband and I have enjoyed new ways of giving back that allow us to utilize our creative passions. For me, it's photography. I have photographed some incredibly emotional events, both powerful and joyous for The Chapel and in doing so, have met some wonderful new friends along the way. This past summer, I was asked if I could photograph an intimate wedding at The Chapel for the sweetest couple Beverly and Paul.

Beverly and Paul, it was an absolute honor to serve you two as you shared your vows and officially became husband and wife!! I hope you are loving the newlywed life and soaking in every ounce of love for one another as you enter this new season. Congratulations!!
