When Megan reached out about photographing her family in honor of her parents’ 40th wedding anniversary, I already knew this session was going to be meaningful. Forty years of marriage, two daughters, growing families, and three little grandsons later—this was so much more than simply updating their family photos.


I first met Megan and Tyler through Rachael Watson Photography, and earlier this year, I had the joy of photographing them at home with their brand-new baby boy, Levi. Getting to see them again a few months later—and meet the rest of Megan’s family—made this evening even sweeter.


The Hoffmann family originally had their session scheduled a little earlier, but when one of the boys got sick, we decided to move it. And honestly, the new date could not have worked out more beautifully. Shamrock Hills Park was filled with soft summer light, tall grasses, and the prettiest little patches of wildflowers. It felt like the perfect place to celebrate a family with forty years of memories behind them and so many more still ahead.


Bob and Darleen, happy 40th anniversary! What an incredible legacy the two of you have built together. Thank you to the entire Hoffmann family for trusting me to capture this season for you. Now grab a blanket, snuggle up together, and enjoy your sneak peek—it’s officially live!!

Hoffmann family, thank you again for spending such a beautiful summer evening with me.
