There is something so special about extended family sessions.
They’re a little louder, a little busier, and usually involve a whole lot of moving pieces — but that’s exactly what makes them so meaningful. When grandparents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, and little ones all come together in one place, it’s not just about getting everyone looking at the camera. It’s about preserving this season of family exactly as it is right now.
This session was especially sweet for me because I’ve had the joy of photographing so many pieces of this family over the years. So when Christine reached out to bring even more of the family together at Kathy and Keith’s home in Hoffman Estates, it felt extra special.
From grandparents and great-grandparents to siblings, cousins, and all the little ones in between, this session was full of the kind of images I know will only become more meaningful with time.
To Christine and the whole family, thank you so much for trusting me again. It is such a gift to be invited back into your family’s story, and I’m so grateful I had the chance to capture this season for you. Now enjoy a little sneak peek from this beautiful extended family session!
To the whole family, thank you so much for trusting me with these photos. It was such a joy to have so many of you together in one place, and I’m so grateful I had the chance to capture this season for you. I hope these images become even more meaningful as the years go by.
