There’s something so special about photographing a family more than once — you already know the personalities, the jokes, and the rhythm that makes them them. This was my second time photographing the Estacio–Gutierrez family, and what a difference a year makes!


Last year, it was absolutely freezing — and to make things even more memorable, I accidentally showed up in my slippers. 😂 This year, it was warm, I had actual shoes on, and the evening couldn’t have been more lovely!


Busse Woods gave us the most beautiful fall light, and this family brought all the joy and connection. From grandparents soaking up snuggles with the grandkids to siblings laughing between shots, the whole session was filled with easy smiles and so much love.


Dear Estacio–Gutierrez Family, It was such a joy to see you all again! I love how relaxed and fun your family is — every combination we photographed just radiated warmth and love. I can’t get over how much the little ones have grown since last year, and how naturally everyone fell right back into that familiar, happy rhythm together. Thank you for trusting me (again!) to capture these memories for your family. You make extended sessions feel effortless, and I loved every minute of our time together at Busse Woods.
