The perfect fall light, a beautiful backyard, and one of the kindest families — this session had all my favorite things.

I’ve had the honor of photographing the Davis family a few times now, and it’s always such a joy. Magdalena first reached out a couple years ago for her daughter’s baptism, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of photographing her family and several of her friends. I’m always so touched when families trust me time and time again to capture their memories — it truly means the world.


This session took place right at their home in St. Charles, and I have to say — it’s one of my favorite places to photograph. Their yard always photographs beautifully, and the way the sun sets behind them in the backyard is pure magic. That late September light was chef’s kiss perfection!


The Davis family brings such an easy, genuine energy every time I’m with them — joyful, relaxed, and full of love. And I can’t help but smile looking through these photos, because they feel just like them: warm, natural, and so full of heart.
